RiseOverride is Now Slate for Rise

Big News! We're excited to announce that RiseOverride is now Slate for Rise. Same powerful features you know and love—plus we're launching Slate, a brand new eLearning authoring platform built from the ground up.
What's Changing?
Let's start with the good news: nothing about the extension itself is changing. The free Chrome extension you've been using to customize your Articulate Rise courses will continue to work exactly as it always has. All your existing customizations, saved code, and workflows remain intact.
What IS changing is the name. RiseOverride is now Slate for Rise, part of our new Slate product line.
Why the Change?
We've been working on something exciting: Slate, a modern eLearning authoring platform designed for instructional designers who want a powerful alternative to expensive enterprise tools. Slate lets you build beautiful, SCORM-compatible courses at a fraction of the cost of tools like Articulate Rise or Storyline.
With the launch of Slate, we're rebranding RiseOverride to "Slate for Rise" to unify our products under the Slate name:
- Slate — Our full-featured eLearning authoring platform for creating standalone courses
- Slate for Rise — The same great Chrome extension for customizing Articulate Rise courses
What About My Pro Subscription?
If you're a Pro subscriber, nothing changes. Your subscription remains active, and you'll continue to have access to all Pro features including AI-powered code generation. We're not changing pricing, and your login and settings remain the same.
Big News: Almost Everything is Now Free
To celebrate this rebrand, we're shipping an update to the Chrome Extension that unlocks nearly every feature for free. That's right—features that were previously Pro-only are now available to everyone.
The only features that remain Pro-exclusive are the AI-powered code tools (code generation, explanation, and optimization). These features have ongoing costs for us to provide, so they'll stay part of Pro. But everything else—JavaScript injection, advanced CSS tools, colour palettes, the SVG editor, image compression, and more—is now free for all users.
